Grievance Redressal

If something has gone wrong, here is how we make it right — and the Grievance Officer you can reach out to under Indian law.

Last updated: May 2, 2026

In compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Karmgyan has appointed a Grievance Officer to address user complaints related to the Platform, its content, services and personal data handling.

1. What You Can Raise a Grievance About

  • Inaccurate, misleading or unauthorised content on the Platform.
  • Misuse of your personal data, including birth details and consultation history.
  • Unprofessional conduct by an astrologer or consultant during a paid session.
  • Payments, refunds, billing or subscription disputes that have not been resolved by support.
  • Account access, privacy, or data deletion requests.

2. Before Raising a Grievance

Most issues are resolved fastest through our regular support channels. Please first try:

  • Email support@karmgyan.com — first response within 24 hours.
  • For refunds, refunds@karmgyan.com — see Refund Policy.
  • For privacy concerns, privacy@karmgyan.com.

3. Grievance Officer

If support cannot resolve your concern within 7 business days, escalate to our Grievance Officer:

  • Name: Grievance Officer, Karmgyan Technologies Private Limited
  • Email: grievance@karmgyan.com
  • Postal address: Karmgyan Technologies Private Limited, [registered office address — to be filled before launch], India
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00–18:00 IST (excluding public holidays)

4. What to Include in Your Grievance

  • Your full name and registered email or phone
  • A clear description of the issue and what outcome you are seeking
  • Date, time and any reference IDs (order ID, booking ID, transaction ID)
  • Screenshots, communications or other supporting evidence

5. Our Response Commitment

  • Acknowledgement of your grievance within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Initial substantive response within 7 days.
  • Resolution within 15 days, or a clear reason and timeline if more time is needed.

6. Escalation Beyond Karmgyan

If you are not satisfied with our resolution, you may escalate to:

  • Data Protection Board of India (for personal data complaints under the DPDP Act, 2023).
  • Consumer dispute redressal forums under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
  • Cyber Cell of your local police, for IT-related grievances.

7. Anti-Retaliation

We do not retaliate against users who raise good-faith grievances. Filing a grievance does not affect your account standing or your ability to use the Platform.

8. Continuous Improvement

We review aggregate grievance patterns quarterly and use them to improve our products, processes and astrologer training. Your concern, however small, helps make Karmgyan better.
