Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Karmgyan Technologies Private Limited ("Karmgyan", "we", "us"). They apply whenever you use karmgyan.com or a Karmgyan app (together, the "Platform"). By using the Platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India and are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000. They do not need a signature.

1. Who can use Karmgyan

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must be able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law.
• If you use the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to act for it.

2. Your account

• Keep access to your account (your Google login or your email) to yourself.
• Give accurate and complete details when you sign up, and keep them up to date.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if someone else uses it.

3. What Karmgyan offers

Karmgyan offers astrology tools and services: kundli and other charts, panchang, muhurat, matching, dasha, numerology, tarot, Ask AI, written reports including the Janma Grantha premium report, live consultations with astrologers, and a shop of physical items.

4. Guidance, not a substitute for a doctor or other professional

Astrology, numerology and tarot are traditional ways of reading a situation. What you get from Karmgyan — a chart, a report, an Ask AI answer or a consultation — is guidance. It is not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and it is not a promise about what will happen. The decisions you make are your own.

• For any health concern, see a qualified doctor. Never stop, delay or change a treatment because of a reading.
• Remedies — mantras, gemstones, rudraksha, yantras, energised items and the like — are traditional practices. They do not cure or prevent any disease, and nothing on Karmgyan should be read as saying they do.
• If you are in distress or thinking of harming yourself, please contact a doctor or an emergency helpline right away.

5. Consultations

Consultations are live chat, call or video sessions with astrologers listed on Karmgyan. Karmgyan arranges the session and collects the payment for it; the astrologer gives the advice.

• The price of a session is shown in rupees before you book.
• A session runs for the time you booked. If you join late, it still ends at its booked time.
• Do not record, screenshot or share a session without the written consent of both you and the astrologer.
• Moving a session, and when you get your money back, are covered in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Reports

• Reports (kundli, matching, varshaphal, numerology, the Janma Grantha premium report and others) are calculated from the birth details you enter. Please check them carefully: a wrong time or place gives a wrong chart.
• The Janma Grantha premium report is bought once for one chart. Once bought, it stays unlocked for that chart in your account.

7. One-time purchases and credits

Everything you buy on Karmgyan is a single payment for a single thing. Nothing is charged again unless you choose to buy again.

• Ask AI credits and prediction credits pay for questions. Numerology wallet top-ups add rupees you can spend on numerology reports.
• Credits and wallet balance are added to your account as soon as your payment succeeds, and they never expire.
• A numerology unlimited pass lasts 24 hours from the moment you buy it.
• Karmgyan credits hold the money from a consultation that didn't happen or was cut short. They are used automatically on your next consultation, they never expire, and you can send them back to the payment method you used at any time.
• Credits and wallet balance have no cash value. They cannot be moved to another account or exchanged for money, except as our Refund & Cancellation Policy says.

8. Prices, payments and GST

• Prices are in Indian rupees (INR) unless shown otherwise.
• Consultation prices are shown before GST. GST is added at checkout, and you see the total before you pay.
• Shop, credit, wallet and report prices include GST. The price you see is the price you pay.
• Delivery charges for shop orders, if any, are shown at checkout before you pay.
• On the website, payments are handled by Cashfree Payments, an RBI-authorised payment aggregator. We never see or keep your full card number.
• If an offer or a coupon applies, its conditions are shown with it.

9. The shop

The Karmgyan shop sells physical items — for example rudraksha, gemstones, yantras and books — from independent sellers. Karmgyan arranges the sale and collects the payment; the seller supplies and ships the item.

• The seller of each item is named on its product page and in your order.
• Product descriptions, including any spiritual or traditional meaning, come from the seller. As section 4 says, no item cures or prevents a disease.
• Before you pay, the product page shows an estimated delivery date for your pincode and whether the item can be returned.
• Dispatch, delivery, returns and who pays return shipping are set out on our Shipping & Returns page.

10. Purchases through Google Play or the App Store

• If you buy credits, a wallet top-up or a report inside our Android or iPhone app, the payment may be made through Google Play or the Apple App Store. The store's terms of sale then apply to that payment, alongside these Terms.
• In our Android app you can also pay for a consultation through Google Play, or choose our own payment option instead. If you choose our own option, Google's billing rules require us to tell Google the amount, the tax and your state for that payment. Google does not receive your card or UPI details.
• Refunds of those payments are made by Google or Apple under their own rules. Ask them from your Play Store or App Store account; we cannot refund a store payment ourselves.
• If Google or Apple refunds a purchase, we take back what that purchase added to your account: credits, wallet balance or an unlocked report.
• Credits bought in an app never expire, the same as credits bought on the website.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for anything unlawful, or for harassment, hate speech, fraud or impersonation.
• Reverse-engineer or scrape the Platform, or try to extract Karmgyan's calculations or report templates to share them.
• Use another person's birth details without their consent.
• Disrupt the Platform with automated tools, denial-of-service attempts or malicious code.
• Resell or rebrand Karmgyan reports or consultations without a written agreement with us.

12. Intellectual property

Everything on the Platform — software, calculations, articles, design and brand marks — belongs to Karmgyan Technologies Private Limited or its licensors. You may use it for your own personal purposes. Any commercial use needs our written permission.

13. Limits of our liability

The Platform is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Karmgyan gives no warranties beyond those stated in these Terms.

Karmgyan's total liability to you for any claim about the Platform is limited to the amount you paid Karmgyan in the 12 months before the claim. Karmgyan and its astrologers are not liable for the results of decisions you make based on a reading.

Nothing in these Terms takes away any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be given up by agreement.

14. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile. What we delete and what the law makes us keep is explained in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or is used unlawfully.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For a material change we will tell you by email or in the app at least 7 days before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.

16. Governing law and courts

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi, India.
